Due to ever increasing demand in manpower, many recruiters are otping short cuts, even in the campus recruitment drives. They are spreading huge amounts of money in the mode of research funds to the professors, and retrieving the toppers list from them in return. Instead of waiting for their trun in the campus recruitment drives, they offer them lucrative internship funds for their summer interns and offer them even before the campus interviews. This has lead to the strengthening of notorious bonds between the campus faculties and company recruiters.
This sort of shortcuts confuse students in their selection of companies. Since, the companies who knew the top performers forehand go to any extent to lay the net for these top performers, in form of huge pay packages, onsite assignments and high positions in the company.
To avoid these kind of discrepancies, universities should tighten their policies. If not, one day there would be no need of campus placement offices in universities. Every Pofessor will start venturing their own placement consultancies, with price tagged students on sale.
